An artfully constructed story of the incest of a brother and sister appears in the direction of Andrew Birkin quite a respectable version of teenage perversions. Although it sometimes discourages the excessive frankness of some scenes, involuntarily forcing to pay attention to the dubious necessity of using children in such an unsafe project - with an age limit "for those over 18". Wishing, apparently, to hedge against possible attacks of particularly zealous guardians of morality, easily able to attribute to the director all the mortal sins, up to pedophilia, Birkin took in the role of younger brother of his own son Ned, and in the role of Julia - her niece Charlotte Gainsbourg. The latter already had experience of this work, having appeared at the age of 15 (six years before) with her father Serge Gainsbourg in the film Charlotte Forever (1986), whose plot was built around, to put it mildly, the strange relationship between father and daughter. There, Dad Serge did the same thing: he entrusted the main roles to himself and his own child. It is not recommended to watch children and adolescents under the age of 16.
